DCCQ aims to support Deaf, deaf and hard of hearing people in Queensland through a variety of ways such as seeking information, exploring options and guiding through the decision making process.
DCCQ aims to advocate for Deaf, deaf and hard of hearing people with local and state governments, industry and service providers for improved access to all areas that affect Deaf people’s daily lives.
This means that Deaf people are able to access information in Auslan. This will allow Deaf to have equal opportunities to achieve the same life outcomes as the general population. Legal recognition of the Deaf/deaf communities as a cultural minority with Auslan as an official language in parliamentary legislation is essential to raising awareness, recognition and respect to achieve equality of access and opportunity for Deaf and hard of hearing people in Queensland.
We need your support to achieve this equality. You can support us by becoming a member of DCCQ. The membership is free. Click here to join.
